Summary
Finance – Finance for events, there are outstanding items regarding petty cash transfer to new accounts which require resolution to complete handover.
Health & Safety – The trees around the playing field boundary will be maintained by the Wills estate, Jamie Bull will trim the trees on the playing field .
Safeguarding – The new Safeguarding Policy has been drafted, RD & CI are attending Safeguarding training and DBS checks are being carried out on Safeguarding officers. An accident book will be introduced.
Job descriptions – Drafted for Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Booking Clerk to clarify roles. Job description for playground sub-committee members also required. Job descriptions to be reviewed & agreed this month.
Future Events – 2026 Dates have been agreed for Cafe Stop for the year: 26th April; 31st May; 28th June; 26th July; 30th August; 27th September;25th October;29th November, with no cafe in December. A table top sale will be held at Cafe Stop 26th July. Poster to be displayed at Cafe Stop from April onwards advertising Cycling Sportif as part of “Lets Play Sport”.
Paint & Plonk – 34 participants have booked, we will continue to take bookings up to 40 people. Set up at 3pm on Friday 17th.
Farm Walk – Shared event with the church, proceeds will be split 50/50, Poster & text to be finalised and 4 banners to be printed to advertise the event. Albi to present some of his findings from the local dig. Advertise on Facebook, website & locally. Payment £8 per person will be taken on the day, excluding refreshments. Albi has offered some carved sticks for auction at the event.
Let’s Play Sports – Date changed to Sunday 5th July, Rugby, Cricket, Carpet Bowls, Cycling events included. Football & Jogging events TBC. Cafe 10am, coffee, tea, cake. Bar 10am-5pm & BBQ. Advertise on the website & socials. If more than 200 people come to Let’s Play Sport we need to inform the insurance company and Environmental Health.
AOB – 2nd July sports interschools cricket competition confirmed on playing fields. Wednesday yoga is now being taken by Sonia, yoga timetable being reviewed.
